How To Turn Off/On Automatic Updates In Windows

By default, Automatic Updates are enabled for Windows. This allows Windows to routinely check for and automatically download updates in the background while you work. Windows will alert you to this fact by placing an icon within the clock area of the Taskbar. However, if you periodically check for updates and do not want to have your work interrupted, you may consider disabling this automatic updating feature. Therefore, this technical brief will show you how to disable this automatic Windows updating feature.
