Pay-Per-Click (PPC) - Definition

In the Google AdWords program, Pay-Per-Click (PPC) is a pricing structure used by some online channels to charge an advertiser each time a user clicks on the advertiser's ad. The amount is usually set by the advertiser, not by the channel. Also called cost-per-click (CPC). Google AdSense publishers receive a portion of the amount paid for Pay-Per-Click activity on their web site. AdWords has a CPC pricing system.
