Ad Group - Definition

In the Google AdWords program, An Ad Group contains one or more ads, which target one set of keywords or placements (any selected web site, or a subset of pages, where you would like to see your ad appear). You set a bid, or price, for all the keywords or placements in the ad group. This is called a cost per click (CPC) or cost per thousand impressions (CPM) bid. You may also set prices for individual keywords or placements within the ad group. For each ad group you create, you can create up to 50 ad variations. The variations can be in any of the formats offered for AdWords, including text, image, and video ad units.
